UPDATE - I HAVE A JOB!

This is most probably one of the most exciting times for me in my very short career so far. It has been a while since I last updated Love Thy Designer as I have been waiting for my graduation pictures to come through. The company sorting them clearly must be sending them out in alphabetical order... Anyway, to get me by the last few months I have been working as an associate at TK Maxx. I have actually really enjoyed the job, mainly because it is my favourite shop but it isn't in the creative industry so wasn't going to be in my life for long. Good, well actually GREAT news first came in the form of Joe from Fourth Wall Creative contacting me to do some more work for them. I was nervous as I still don't feel as though I can design up to a competent enough level to actually help a studio out but still happy as I enjoy the studio now it feels like a home, the people there are to thank for that. Claire, Faye and Carolyn are clearly the best as they have to put up with me on our lunches out haha!

Last week I had a voicemail from Moira Hennessy at North Liverpool Academy saying that I had been shortlisted for the role that I had applied for a few months ago. This came as a total surprise as I had forgotten about the Art Technician job. I would say to cut a long story short, but everything seems to have happened in a flash. The interview was yesterday and within 1 1/2 hours of finishing I had a phone call to ask whether I wanted the position. I couldn't believe it to be honest. I just have to go in within a few days and take documents in for my CRB and then hopefully I can start in 2 weeks. I will keep my blog updated with how things progress.
